Story on my skatedeck!!!!

My project last year was about PIRANHA's, did a skate-deck mixing illustration, photoshop, and typography. This year i would have to use the same project and create my own rendition of an ad.
Took me a couple of hours, a few sketches and still nothing popped up. LUCKILY thank god for Google image search i saw some ad's that caught my eye. Decided to make a skater do tricks with a piranha deck.
It had humour and creativity to it.

Played around with simple vectoring, and filters. Changed vibrances and lighting on the actually pictures of the skater and piranha. Found trucks online added it to the piranha. players with shadows and blur effect to blend it in together. Played with different shades of blue.

I also added a pic of the deck i made last semester. created a witty slogan to it. and BOOM my skate-deck ad.

Hour i spent; 2 hours brainstorming in my notebook, 30 mins googling pictures, 1 1/2 hour cutting up pictures, 20 mins playing with picture quality, 2 hours adding it all into the banner.

What is Minskoa 71? 

The country: Canada

The founding year: 2000

The designer: Minskoa71

The creators: Jonel Fenol

The Shoe line Minskoa71 is a high end sneaker sold in certain boutiques and high end department stores around the world. From Reborn (Montreal, Canada) to LaFayette (Paris, France). The founder of the line is Jonel Fenol, a Filipino Canadian. Started out as making the shoes for celebrities such as John Travolta, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, John Mayer, and many more. Since the shoe became very popular with the celebrities the founder decided to let the world know about Minskoa71 design. 

In 2002 the first pair were available to the public and sold out within a week. Minskoa71 was only available at 3 boutiques with the limited number of 71 pairs. Since the first 71 pairs was sold out within a week the brand has decided to limit each design to 71 pairs. As the years go by the brands hype had grew world wide.
